Can you track down a missing poet before he runs out of (and gets lost in) time?

Use a smartphone app to role play as a crack journalist, either for the prestigious DUMBO Times or the cheap rag The DUMBO Enquirer. After months of reporting on the usual small-town Brooklyn news, you get the scoop of the century: all-American poet Walt Whitman has become unstuck in time and lost in DUMBO. Can you track him down and get the story?

It’s a live-action, immersive, interactive story that weaves together DUMBO’s past and present. Players use the LOST IN TIME app to unlock hyper-local tiny games and tasks in the DUMBO neighborhood, which can only be played in the designated locations. As you follow leads, you reveal secrets and surprises about the neighborhood, and even bump into Whitman and his friend, photographer Gabriel Harrison. The game culminates in your published story, including your interviews, photos, and all the facts you’ve uncovered.

This game is part of the Come Out & Play After Dark Festival in DUMBO on July 21, 2017, and runs 7-10pm.
